Hey, I'm Sherrie

With 16 years in the hair industry and 6 years running Messy Bun, I still genuinely love what I do.

Bridal hairstyling has always had my heart. Before creating Messy Bun, I spent several years as a flight attendant, travelling the world before Covid unexpectedly changed the direction of my career and inspired me to take the leap into business.

I’m based in my cosy little studio in Pukekohe, where you’ll usually find me creating beautiful hair with my cavoodle - Obi.

After getting married myself in April 2026, I have an even greater appreciation for everything my brides experience throughout the planning process and on their wedding day. Having been through it firsthand, I’m always happy to share tips, tricks and advice to help make the journey feel a little easier.

One of my favourite parts of this job is getting to know my brides, hearing their love stories and being part of such a special chapter in their lives. My goal is always to create a relaxed, welcoming experience where you feel comfortable, confident and like the very best version of yourself.
